  • Jippo Says:

Awesome to see DMC still rocking at 42, wow.

  • Glenn Lackey Says:

Mirra, Mirra on the vert wall…who is the best ramp rider now of them all ?
Jamie has no competition now that Mirra is not riding vert. He does his stuff 7′ higher than anyone competing against him , just plain unstoppable at the moment …SO IT seems.

  • alex Says:

    DMC!!!!

  • FRANK Says:

The lack of new tricks is extremly dissapointing.
where are all the new big moves people have supposed to of been “workin on”?
Only Anthony Napolitan has this year stood out from the crowd.
OK the majority of the others are ofcourse amazing riders, but this years x-games has overall been very very LAZY.
generic runs, same tricks repeated countless times…
this year i expected to see.

a double flair on the mega ramp.
some insane new trick from bestwick (anything that doesnt top the double tailwhip flair does not count)
kagy unleash something totally crazy on the mega ramp
someone pull a 25-30 ft air on the megaramp

as for dave mirra… well, sorry but his riding is predictable these days and he lands at an angle on every trick he pulls.

yes he SHOULD be back in VERT…cos hes getting nowhere in the other catagories

as for catagories….they are DISSAPEARING FAST!!!

    no dirt?
    no best trick?

next year expect both street and park to go.

    the year later…vert

    I agree with FRANK .
    Absoulutely no progression .
Double front flip was it .
They need a best trick contest with a box jump spine and quarter that is were everything will get nuts

  • Wiktor Says:

    Jamie’s candybar alley-oop was AMAZING!

  • mike Says:

ok i dont normally comment on these things but i cant belive someone would watch a vid like that then complain about the lack of new tricks this year. wtf. forget double frontfilps and frontflip 360s going down at xgames, they dont count i suppose. as for vert and guys like bestwick, every thing he does is impossibly amazing. to be that far ahead of your competitors is somthing special no matter what your sport. im not a fan of the big tricks myself id rather see someone do a good table and look in control while doing it. but thats just me. Bestwick is a prime example of someone with complete contol over his little kids bike, doing an allyoop downside whip across the entire length of a vertramp and making it look chilled still doesnt seem possible. anyway if seeing new tricks every month is all you want from a hobbie i suggest magic school.

it’s the xgames don’t expect progression there

  • Josh Says:

    V Weekend - Word.

I love Jimmy Walker’s style: He rides vert like a park.

  • mattia Says:

    song???????????? please

  • Beeeeeeeeeeee Says:

Bestwick makes it look like he’s riding against a team from an old peoples home. 2nd may be 2nd, but it’s a billion miles away from Bestwick. He is Super BMX Man. Greater than Spiderman, Batman, and Superman put together.

  • Rich Says:

Tim Wood came 6th, not Coco

  • Albert_M.I.A Says:

The first song is A Punk by Vampire Weekend. The second song is D.A.N.C.E by Justice.

The sport can only progress so far so fast. Right now I think its rediculous. You cant go to a dirt comp and have fun throwing the classics; you need to be spinning like a top and doing no less than a 2:1 tailwhip to jump ratio. I of course wan to see the sport progress but I almost would like to see a slow in the progression. The jumps get bigger, the tricks get crazier; soon there are going to be riders trying stuff out of their league trying to stay current and there will be lots of injuries. We already lost two icons in the sport; what will happen when one of our new age street shredders slips peddle on a 40ft truckdriver gap and slices open his femoral artery, god forbid? I’m just saying its gtting out of control, I’m getting tired of watching a huckfest at every contest.

  • alien Says:

    people still ride vert?

  • jose Says:

    KING OF VERT 4 ever!!!!

  • THREEARK! Says:

FRANK and Chris. If you don’t think there is any progression maybe YOU should go and show us how its done. You have no respect for how hard it is to ride at this level, if you don’t like it than put your money where your mouth is and step up.

  • tod.borndead Says:

    +1

  • Sass. Says:

also progression isn’t all about new tricks you know, its also about getting smoother, going higher and being more consistent.

  • aaaab Says:

nice vid shit was good but hey RIDEbmx stop cutting out the audio of the event, we want to hear the crowd and shit, thats part of the experience of being there, so for us watching the vid its missing that part of things.

  • Matt Patty Says:

+2… and DMC is my hero.

  • Marla Says:

    bestwick owns ur life frank

  • Scott Says:

Jimmy Walker has gotten so much better. When he had SCRAP skatepark he was not that great for a pro. He is doing very well nowadays. I hope it continues.

  • jorge Says:

que manera de entrar bien todos los trucos jamie B.

    DMC siempre! ejemplo a seguir.

  • nobody Says:

Vert got more coverage than street? That’s bullshit and way too overrated. Street deserved a longer video than this.

  • sean mccann Says:

hey douche bags who just wrote all the stuff above, you just plain suck.

  • DanJohn Says:

the vert ramp itself seems a little toned down from years past.
i hope the powers that be at X-gaymes dont decide to let it go the way of dirt.

  • Alvin Mullins Says:

    Cool video, thanks Fat

  • p.a Says:

    hell yea 3 peat

  • peter go-fast Says:

it’s too bad nobody tries to enjoy these videos for what they are. Everyone has some shit to talk

  • kevin Says:

Frank thats the worse shit i have ever herd someone talk!

10th place: double whips, bar to whip
that shit a few yrs ago would have won you gold

u say no progression didnt u watch bestwick do a oppo lookback flair bout 8ft above the ramp wake up to your self man

respect these lads more cause if it wasnt for them u would be still in your bed pulling your self

  • i rock Says:

    DMC still kicks b**t!!

  • stompandflow Says:

Word to FRANK. The progression seemed a bit off. But then again, with the contest rewarding the best run (consistency counts), risk taking is not rewarded. Should all these events go ‘best trick’ instead?
