Range of Motion Street Trip: Day Nine

The trip is over. It’s actually been over, but the aftermath and time in the office kept me from putting together a video from the last day. Either way, here it is…prefaced with the winner of our Rob Wise Autographed Frame Giveaway (which I’ll write a bit more on below). The original plan for the last day involved going up to Simi Valley, hitting up a few schools, then getting some stuff done at the infamous Moorpark College. Unfortunately, we got hung up at stop number one, with Rob possibly filming the banger of the section (think two rails and two jump overs without touching the ground), and the rest of the crew getting their fare share of clips, and even some Ride staff clips for the bonus staff section. We did eventually make it out of there near dark, ate, then fired up the generator to get a hell of a clip from Garrett Reynolds (much more than what you’ll see in the web vid). We finished off the night at my place, doing interviews, and slapping Dave Dillewaard in the face when he was first to pass out. The trip as whole was chill, but rough on the invited crew: Rob blew out his heel for three days, Sexton blew out his heel on day four and it never recovered, Tony Neyer got first degree burns on his left hand and ended up breaking his right wrist, and Dennis Enarson broke his wrist, too. But, as you can tell from just the web clips alone that I’ve been putting up, the level of riding has been nuts.

Range of Motion will be available mid/late October, so get ready. Official trailers are coming soon, too.

The answers for the Rob Wise contest were:

1. Layton or Bountiful, Utah (either were acceptable to Rob)

2. Jason Enns - Ends and Ryan Jordan - 781

3. First Blood

4. Gray

5. Open to interpretation, but the winner wanted Rob to do a ” 180 backwards grind up a rail-to-fullcab bar out.” Oddly enough, Rob has wanted to do that for a while, so that helped cinch the win for…

Brandon McCoy of Kettering, Ohio. The frame is already on the way! And many thanks to Volume Bikes for kickin’ over the frame for the giveaway!
