Nike 6.0 Team Explained

The Nike 6.0 team is a complex organism that only one man can properly describe. The team’s mentor, Mark Losey sits down to explain each of the four riders on the team. And of course Garrett Reynolds, Nigel Sylvester, Dennis Enarson, and Mike Spinner all have some good riding clips in here.

  • Josh Stauffer Says:

    BMX Mentor? Are you serious?

  • mikemikemike Says:

last thing we need in this sport is mentors and trainers and coaches. fuck off with that shit.

  • jonddub Says:

yeah there’s a huge cash flow coming into the bmx industry from Nike but kids can’t drop $80 on shoes, especially when their parents are loosing their jobs and shit.

Nike makes these shoes for like $3 in East Timor where there isn’t any kind of workers unions, no laws about protecting the environment and they have kids (14 year olds) sewing the shoes for like 4 cents a week withouth bathroom breaks.

it’s bad enough that most of the industry is outsourced, but we really need to be pushing some ethics to go along with bmx culture. what the f@#k Losey! “Don’t Do It”

  • the guy with the face Says:

love the 6.0 team there pure awesomeness

  • duganik Says:

  • duganik Says:

who cares if theres a mentor
    he seems chill as fuck

its all about money in the end
    fruits

  • Bloodninja Says:

That dude just reached EPIC FAIL.

    ASSHAT.

The riding was great, all of those dudes go as hard as they can. At the end of the day that’s what matters.

    Random Nike official??? DOUCHE-FAG.

That Flat edit after the vid was legit; granted “The Faint” is out dated, the vid is still awesome.

  • FatTony Says:

The “mentor” is just Nike’s way of saying “team manager.” Every BMX company has a team manager, so don’t hate on Nike for giving it a different name.

  • odsy cranker Says:

Especially when its a guy that’s been in the industry for so long, and has had a hand in this magazine. Losey’s dope and people are forgetting that.

  • Flip Says:

Of all the people in BMX Mark Losey is probably the last one you should talk shit on.

  • alex Says:

yea it has been going on for years how is jonddub faggot for stating the truth? And the funny thing is if bmx became “UNCOOL” tommorow nike would be the first shoe company to drop there team and go back to basketball. but your obviously to big of a tool to realize that.

  • Ray Says:

phuc dat! there’s nothing wrong with mentors especially if you’ve been around the bmx scene longer than the team riders, REMEMBER -> the fact that you can ride and do all kinds of crazy tricks doesn’t mean you can ride for a video and do it right, especially when Nike is dumping tons of cash into this SALES strategy.

Also, whoever said they wouldn’t throw $80 on nike shoes ’cause everyone is losing their jobs is major BS, since you do have $20 a weekend to blow up on booze, shit I live in a third world country and I know if you want quality shit you have to pay for it, even if it cost just a couple of bucks to manufacture by a 12 year old in shankghai, there’s still shipping costs, local taxes, packaging, marketing and a bunch of other shit to pay for.

  • troy Says:

Don’t hate on Mark! The guy let me go to the Nike premiere not knowing who I was. And he puts up with a crazy group of kids who are amazing at riding. The guy is awesome.

  • FatTony Says:

    Agreed…nothing but respect.

  • christian rigal Says:

I love how people hate on Losey and don’t even know who he is or what hes done/still does for bmx. if your hating you jealous

  • duganik Says:

    lol im not a tool
i know how the market works and how making money works
thats why nike is one of the biggest companies in THE WORLD, so why dont you continue your half assed education to one day maybe be a nike slave… hey why dont you just go and kill yourself? would be awesome if you recorded it and posted it back on here!!

  • duganik Says:

its because people just fucking say whatever comes to their god damn half retarded mind

  • Josh Stauffer Says:

No one said anything about the man himself. I was reacting to the connotation of “mentor” and what it implies about the team. I suppose there is a certain appropriateness to the 6.0 team having a mentor rather than manager, guiding them through the ins and outs of the industry.

  • trinity rider Says:

duganik is right but 2 fukin rude ‘cof wanker cof’

  • sahara Says:

Losey is one of the top photographers in BMX and has given so much back to the BMX Community. Nike and the team are lucky to have him onboard, and he is always down to do anything to help out the riders. If Losey has your back, your in good shape

  • skeet Says:

spinner and garret are the best to watch

  • ryano Says:

    they all kick ass

  • Industry Insider Says:

    Nike can go fuck themselves.

What a bunch of idiots with NO CLUE about the industry or riders. Mentor?? Seriously??

Since when the fuck did anyone that rode BMX need a mentor.

“The Nike 6.0 team is a complex organism that only one man can properly describe.”

They need to have a video to explain 4 guys in a team? Utter marketing fuckwits..

Mark Losey is trying to do what he thinks is best but for a company with the wrong ethos

    FUCKING WEAK
