In Bruce Crisman’s recent bike check he mentioned that he hub he helped KHE design would be changing the name from “Reverse” to “Astern”. Well, they have made the switch and Marcus Wilke explains how it works. The new hub allows you to change the amount slack in the hub from the outside, without taking your wheel off or the hub apart.

I guess I don’t see the point of adjusting your slack so often. I think most people will find what they like and leave it there. If that feature weakens the axle in any way, it isn’t worth buying. Most street riders I have talked to who have KHE freecoasters have had problems with them, so why not make them more reliable and stronger?

even with the slack turned full on it didn’t seem like it had alot. i like almost a half crank.

Rob Ridge came up with a lot the ideas on this hub and as of yet i’ve not seen one credit given to him, he’s pioneered freecoaster riding and also the technology that has appeared in products such as these, some props from KHE wouldn’t go far amiss here.

yea. i ride mostly street and i have the khe reverse acb and have had nothing but problems with it. I wish someone would come out with a freecoaster that worked

I got my son one of those airsoft guns its fantastic, I was afraid at first that it would hurt his friends when they shot each other. I had to get him this airsoft rifle cause he wanted a BB gun, and yeah that wasnt going to happen.
