A few months ago a crew of BMX riders including Brian Kachinsky, Rooftop, Nate Wessel, Chad Kagy, Dave Osato, Catfish, and Walter Pieringer went to Iraq to put on demos for our troops in the war. While not shooting photos, Walter filmed a bunch of stuff with his digital camera and was able to put together this amazing edit from their adventures. From Apache helicopters to getting attacked by dogs to sessioning bomb shelters, these guys will never forget this trip.

Also, check out Brian Kachinsky’s personal account of his trip in his blog for tons of awesome photos and a great first-hand story of what it was like to be part of such an incredible trip.

Video by Walter Pieringer.

That gives such a good Image to Bmx, I love it when they do stuff that "outsiders" (?) understand and can apreciate. Thanks BK, Catfish, Rooftop, Wessel, and Kagy for heading out there.

  • shit Says:

why isnt osato even mentioned in any of this shit?

  • what Says:

excellent video though it's still silly that Pieringer voice overs in a english accent when he doesn't talk that way in real life.

  • Eddie Says:

This is a joke!! Was it fun to play war?? Fuckin americans! Playing with guns with which several humans have already brought to death. Being in a state to force them to live the american kind of life??? Being in a state just because of the oil?? Get your fuckin asses out of iraq! Go to play within the united states. But don´t involve other nations! Fuckin catfish especially…and all the fuckin others…

    that video was awesome.

    osato’s nosepick was nuts.

  • Chassion Says:

Soldiers are soldiers man. Congress is the one who decides the matters of war. Don't want to sound cliche, but soldiers are the pawns. You want to get angry? Get angry at the corporate lobbyists who fund the wars, i.e…GM, Halliburton, Chevron, Shell, Bank of America, etc…. The guys riding bikes are just giving the soldiers to boost morale. As for Catfish, that's all on you.

  • Rodolfo Says:

That was awesome! :D Did anyone notice that a few bikes had two brakes? New trend? o_O

  • Tek Says:

not a new tread more like oldskool

  • ... Says:

right? kids these days have no clue where bmx came from. now days its all brakeless and wide bars…not 35-40 pound monsters with front brakes and four pegs.

  • Eddie Says:

I don´t want to say sth against the soldiers..they´re just doin their jobs. But is it necessary to film the the bmx dudes handling guns and military cars and so on? This is the brutal reality and this is no place to get filmed with a smiling face handle weapons…

  • Grumpy Says:

They went over to support our troops….NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT…
I personally have a friend(Shane Vincent) who after winning the ABA A Pro title enlisted n went n fought for our country…He was hit by an IED and barely survived,so "EDDIE" shut ur fucking cock locker……
Come to the US and try n spout that shit off n see how long ur teeth last…
    SHRED ON!
AND THANK YOU TO OUR TROOPS FIGHTING SO WE CAN RIDE!

  • shea Says:

Grumpy….Right on! I appreciate the riders that went, they all kick ass and were just doing what they do. Eddie, those soldiers probably got as much out of people entrenched in everyday American life being appreciative of what the soldiers do on a daily basis as the riders did out of getting soldiers psyched on dudes doing stunts for a while. You are such a child! Bitter SOB!
