BMX has always been about the riding—so function usually reigned over fashion. With that philosophy in mind, think of shinpads and kneepads with shorts—not a pretty sight. Actually, for the longest time a lot of stuff in BMX wasn’t too nice to look at; until recently aesthetics and BMX were hardly ever in the same sentence.
