As promised, here’s our highlights video from the fourth annual Flatland Voodoo Jam in New Orleans. The riders in this nine-minute video are featured in the order they placed, starting with 10th and ending with the champion, Japan’s Ucchie. Keep in mind that a video like this does not do proper justice for the energy and feel of the battle-style contest. You have to be there to fully experience Voodoo.

If you are looking for some newbie help, these are definitely worth watching. From 180s to grinds, to airing ramps and clearing doubles, Rob-O, The Gonz, Bestwick, Mackay, Luc-e, and others are your instructors. Pay attention!

Matt Wilhelm’s how-to DVD is one of the best selling flatland films of all time, so he is no stranger to putting out quality videos. His latest part, filmed in his private indoor spot during the cold months of a Chicago winter, has banger after banger of super-fast spinning combos.

While shooting for the annual photo issue Terry pulled a quick combo on the dirt in Joshua Tree National Park. The photos looked great, but we wanted film it just to have on record. Not too many people can pull flatland tricks on mushy soil…

Many people know Justin Miller as a dialed flatland rider, which he is, but he is also a hard-working mountain-type man that enjoys hunting and ice fishing. We combined the two and set up a session on the very lake he ice fishes near his cabin in Michigan. Check out Justin busting a sick combo on a frozen lake in hypothermic temperatures.
