this new super park sounds cool enuff but why must we get rid of all the cool dissaplins for thes exparments like we gave up flat 2years ago for ratings reasions, last year we gave up dirt for mega ramp, and now this. where dose it end as for this street thing this might be good I meen the skaters have had it for some time and this might get some of the street guys to come to the X but it will have to be alot like the set up the skaties have w/ real xisting terran like at a collage not stuff just throughn together cause then it's just a park and the x has one of those

i like how they are putting street in, this will attract more of the “non commercial” breed of riders like edwin, dak, tom white, and alot of other hardcore street riders. as for the super park, i want to see how they are going to set this up. the description is weird but if it is set up right then it will be epic.

but the main thing that needs to happen is that DIRT NEEDS TO COME BACK!!!!!! they should do it elevation style. that is a great dirt contest that brings people from everywhere!!!!

street will be sick if its like real street style. superpark dosnt sound as good, bring back dirt! and, they shouldnt lose vert.

i think that they sould keep bmx vert especially when the x games are in la. its going to convey that we dont belong on vert even though we own it and that could ruin what little progress us bmxers have done down here to get into the parks…that being said i would like see flat make a comback because its one hell of a discipline and our roots along with dirt and if we have a street thing i would like to see pegless as a discipline so were not seeming to follow the skateboards around doing stupid grind tricks so the skateboards have no reason to believe bmx revolves around pegs and grinding when you all know we do way more than that when we go out riding street unlike them unfortunatly thats y they h8in…there is no way we could ride the same street course cus hardcore street on a skate is lite street on a bike and all we could do on lite street is thrash it and thats all the skaters will see and ill have to fuck up more kids telling me im going to fuck up their coping with my soft rubber tires bottom line is that i wanna ride like i did in portland but the nazi propaganda the skateboarders use against us is all to believable when it seems were following them around believe it or not kids we've been using ramps way longer than them just wtf do you think a dirt jump is? maybe i listen to too much rage against the machine but if we dont take action now well settle for nothing later and thats what well get when we request a bmx only ramp park when there is no dirt anymore i know theres none here

I don't even watch the X Games anymore, I can't stand the announcers. Honestly, I always thought vert was really boring.

The X games street course looks more like a park.  I don't see why they didn't just have the competition on an actual street spot.  It's L.A.!  As for superpark, it just distorts the general public's image of BMX.  This is why I don't like the X games. At first, they were intended to show extreme sports in a form other than stupid human trick blooper shows and the occasional 15-second story on the evening news.  They've now become a display of insane stunts that misrepresent these sports.  BMX is shown as huge jumps likely to kill you, making the sport seem inaccesible.  Skateboarding is the only sport that can bridge this gap, seeing as they have both skateboard mega ramp likening it to BMX and street making it a cool, urban sport.  Aggressive inline wasn't profitable enough and was completely eschewed.  As was wakeboarding.  The X games have lost their original spirit.  Therefore, I'm calling on not only the BMX community, but also the skateboarding community and all other action sports communities to boycott the X games.

the x games have lost their original spirit. its a sell-out. it relies heavily on what the “people want”. and by people i mean the families who are sitting at home say, “ooo neat he did a double backflip! dave mirra is the best!”. it doesnt portray what the sport is about. its not about going big, its about doing the most unique stuff. i know i  dont make any sense but maybe someone understand what i mean
