ive been riding since the early 80s and ive seen some shit products. most of the stuff now (even if you consider it shit) is still better than the stuff back then.

im currently riding an Eastern frame and i love it. as far as Dans Comp, thats were i get most of my stuff and ive had no problems with them. i agree, i dont know how anyone it cracking frames nowadays. back in the day i cracked all my frames that i had (at least 5) i was riding a Kink Empire frame for about 8 years and now my Eastern for 2 years, and i didnt crack the Kink and the Eastern is just fine.

i hate to be mean, but i think the worst companies are the non-bmx companies, like mongoose, schwinn, wellgo, etc.

poverty is awesome, because they make parts that work, and don't cost a ton of money

i like the 2hip stuff but the parts that are serious crap are the ones from Mongoose. i agree they make good cranks, but their frames are heavy as hell.

I agree with that! If it's sold as exclusive bmx parts (even Poverty) through dans or whatever, I think it's definitely decent. I see a lot of reviews where dudes are all “these cranks crack” and shit like that, but yo - how many stairs were you fucking poppin down??

Things like Mongoose (I see other people hatin on the goose here hah hah) like you get at Wal Mart which are just made cheap now, of course they're total garbage. I saw one the other day I was just looking at how shitty the welds looked and that.. total doo doo

I remember as a kid when Mongoose was THE fucking bike to have, if it wasn't a GT Performer or Mach One hahah!! I was all about the Diamond Back.. I still rode the same one from when I was a kid (Silver Streak) up until I got my new shit sewed up recently. (Had to update - 20 years later) Speaking of that, I saw somebody say something about DB - but I think they're new street completes look decent. The ones with the Shadow parts.. The reason I trust DB so much (even though I have a Hoffman now) is because of the one I still have - has to be an 83 (I got it used way after that - my first ride!!!) and I rode that skinny framed shit down stairs/whatever - trails .. at one point I was probably over 200 lbs still riding it. I'm surprised THAT one didn't break!

i have an 02' signiture db its the best bike ive rode its a 21 inc top tube i love that bike. and the new accomplice is a sick bike my bud just got it its not light but its just as good as a mirraco blend if not better
