This is a general question that everyone can put their own opinion on. I'm not a flatland rider but this has been on my mind for a while….It seems as if for a while(early 90's) flatland BMX seem to boom and it was great and everything and then as time progressed, you started to see it less…and less…then it was taken out of the X games, then you saw it even less, till you could safely say that for a while, flatland has been hanging on by a string in the U.S.. I see it still just as popular in other countries as it was when it first began (take the various bike n' mic events worldwide) and I don't blame them because flatland is a beautiful form of riding. So why do you think that people don't ride flatland as much as they used to here?

All opinions welcome.

you know i have had this flatland issue on my mind for some time as well. I am not a flatland rider either but i loved to watch it, it is an artform (dancing with your bike) in a sense, an di miss seeeing it in the x games and just seeing kids in the neighborhood ride flatland in the local parking lots, i think when it was taken out of the x games newer younger riders didnt get the chance to see that style of riding, and because of the lack of it in the media it has pretty much died off and is only hangin on by a thread over here in the u.s. and its kinda sad to see. . .
