im about 6 feet tall what size bike is right for me, how can i tell the different sizes of a bike

I'm sure I'll be flamed for this, but who cares.
Try an urban assault bike if you want something thats bigger than a BMX. S&M makes some at their factory that are called BLK MRKT.
Traditional BMX, i'd say you need at least a 21″ top tube, and longish cranks, 180mm or 185 if you have really long legs.

how big of a difference does it make for a 20.75″ top tube and a 21″ top tube?

well its .25 inches longer and u may think thats like nothing,but once u get used to shorter frame and then u get longer one,u will feel the bike is longer,or the other way around.same thing about cranks.well im 5'10″,and i have 21″ frame and it feels great.i also had 175mm cranks,they felt good,but than i bought 180mm cranks and they r the best,my manuals got so much better,even tho i have to pedal little bit more than before,but thats my personal choice.yeah its only 5mm difference,but u will feel any little change on ur bike.and also my friend is 6'1″ and he rides 21″ frame 180mm cranks…so just pick anything u feel most comfortable on
