I always thought Bar ends were kind of trivial, until I started bailing and throwing my shit (to save me from stupid injury)..

But my plastic barends that came with my grips are fucked UPPP.. I saw a few reviews on Albe's that said “these will explode when you drop 'em, don't do it” and shit like that. Some of them shits are MAD expensive though, but it'd be worth it to save the bars from getting bent up I guess..

Who uses what bar ends, and why?! I'm in the market for some… fuck paying 30 bux too…. but will the aluminum ones REALLY just take beating after beating and still tick like a fuckin timex? thanks for any input

I love asking these topics I wanna know who rides what parts and why that shit interests me so much to see why you guys like certain parts so much

i got the S&M bar tabs ( beringer's made through S&M) and dan's description made it seem that buying small ends over S&M's larger ends more reliable…and i got the smalls on my bike, but on my first turndown, it felt as my bars were exposed and put a horrible scrape on my thighs. the smalls are no larger than the tubing on bike bars,,,so the moral of the story, is small bar ends are like having your grips pulled back and large's give better coverage. so i gotta spend another 17dolores on them again…=[

always used plastic, sure they break easier. but their cheaper, lighter, and wont cut you when they get some wear. my friend has to file his metal ones to keep them from turning into razor blades!

When you get stabbed youll realize why you need them. But everyrider needs the bar end scar to prove his loyalness to the bmx.

i use plastic bar ends for 2 reasons.

1. some parts are ment to snap and bend easily to reduce further damage

2. i hate the friggen sound u get when u have dirt or small rocks in ur bars

oh yeah and crackula try not to cuss so much. there are kids on this site and u sound like an idiot.

My mate stacked it off a jump and his bar went straight through his thigh. Plus the doctor said that if he'd of had bar ends, he would have just got a bruise.

Everyone makes mistakes. The trick is to make mistakes when nobody is looking.
