X Games 14 Superpark & Street Course Sneak Peek

We got the chance to take a look at the new courses for this year’s X Games. We first went to the street course at the Staples Center that was still under construction, then we went to the Home Depot Center to see the much anticipated Super Park course.
This is the first anyone has seen of the Super Park course and we are pretty surprised. We kind of thought it would be more like a traditional park contest course on steroids, but it turns out it is more like the old Little Devil warehouse with stadium seating. It definitely seems fitting now that people like Chase Hawk and Brian Foster are in this contest and we can’t wait to see how it turns out.

The superpark looks more like a superbowl, too bad that name is already taken. It looks like a fun and different course, but I can see why the vert riders were pissed, it ain’t no half pipe. I think that this course we lend itself to more stylish flowy riding and that is cool. It is too bad that who ever finds a spot to do triple whips or front filp variations will probably win. It would be nice to see some new faces on the medal podium. I won’t watch on TV though. I gave up on the x games when they dropped dirt for car racing.

i think its kinda stupid theres like no box jump and thats were most big tricks go down all it is is quarterpips one big bowl the street course looks like its going to be sick tho…o and they should put bmx dirt back in

I like the pool coping in the super park course. The street course, however, looks more like an average park. I was hoping to see an actual street spot. No offense to Nate Wessel, though. It looks like a sick park.

i agree with dick and disagree with chris 256. this course is going to show who has actual bike control, flow and stamina, not who has put the most hours into the foam pit. i hope that aitken takes home the gold.

i dont think that superpark is going to be that amazing beacause there is no box jumps for spinner and all the other riders to throw awesome tricks. the people that will take the podeum are going to be the riders that ride vert. on the other hand the street course looks sweet as hell. aaron ross and garret are going to go crazy on it

good. no box jumps. i agree with him that whoever can find the place for fronites and triple whips will win. but i’m glad there is no box jump. it will bring out the true riders. not the foam pit junkies.
