After a 3rd place showing at last year’s OC Fair event, a 2nd place at the 2009 ASA Action Sports World Tour (ASA) Big Air BMX Triples event in Minneapolis, and winning his first BMX event title in May at the ASA stop in Chicago this year, T.J. Ellis is definitely on a roll. Diogo Canina, however, is the OC Fair Big Air BMX Triples defending champion and seemed unstoppable in his quest for the title last year. But, if this event’s history is any indicator, the title is anyone’s game.
ASA Entertainment introduced the Big Air BMX Triples in 2007 at the Action Sports World Tour stop in Glendale, Arizona where Dennis Enarson claimed the title. Since then four different men have taken home gold in this event – Diogo Canina (2008 OC Fair), Rob Darden (2008 Cincinnati, Ohio), Ryan Guettler (2009 Minneapolis, MN), and T.J. Ellis (2009 Chicago, Ill) – all of who will be competing at the OC Super Fair event. Dirt jumpers, vert riders and street riders are all taking on the challenge of the Big Air BMX Triples ramps and pressing the limits of their abilities.
For a front row seat to all the excitement tickets can be purchased for the Big Air BMX Triples on Ticketmaster.com. Reserved seats start at only $12.50 and include OC Super Fair admission. Three-day ticket packages are available also at a 10% discount, and may include a meet and greet with the athletes and prizes. For more information visit www.ActionSportsTour.com.
