The event will also include a series of raffles and giveaways featuring DC gear, all benefitting the Athlete Recovery Fund. DC BMX athletes in attendance will include Chris Doyle, Edwin De La Rosa, Jeremiah Smith, Alfredo Mancuso, Mike Clark, Craig Mast, Stevie Churchill, Kelly Bolton, and Ryan Jordan.
“I really got to know Brett last year during a trip to Shanghai which he and I were both on. He’s an amazing rider and without question one of the greatest skatepark riders of all time. To see him take such a devastating crash at the height of his career has been hard for the BMX community. I want to bring my home state of New Hampshire together to help raise money for one of our heroes who is dealing with one of the worst head injuries we’ve ever seen,” said The Come Up’s founder and chief editor, Adam Grandmaison.
The Come Up attracts over 200,000 unique visitors a month and is considered to be BMX’s most popular and most influential website. The Brett Banasiewicz Holiday Jam is the first ever charity event hosted by the Come Up BMX.
