Profile had been getting a lot of questions about their new Totem Hubs that will be dropping at the end of this year, so they put together a little Q&A about them. Here’s all the info you need straight from the Profile site…

Firstly, the Totem hubs will be an additional line of hubs. They will not be replacing the existing Profile Mini hubs. We will continue to make the Profile Mini hubs with all the bells and whistles in all 11 colors.

What Makes the “Totem” hubs different from the existing Profile mini hubs?
It is purely aesthetic. We slimmed down the existing hub shell design with a tighter radius to make a “clean” look and to shave weight.
Unlike the Profile mini hub, Totem hubs will come with matching anodized hub cones and volcano washers. Once the hubs are anodized, they will be engraved with the Profile logo.
The internals are exactly the same (4 springs, 4 pawls, same bearings and axle options) as the tried and tested Profile Mini hubs.

Will Totem hubs be available in RHD and LHD?
As of now, Totem hubs will be available in RHD only, and only sold in sets.

What color options will be offered?
As of now, Totem hubs will only come in black or gun metal silver.

What axle and driver options will be offered?
All Totem hubs will have the same axle and driver options as the Mini hubs. Axle options of 3/8, 14mm chromo GDH, or 14mm titanium GDH. And driver options of 9, 10, or 11t one piece drivers in chromo or titanium, or on the race end with chromo or titanium drivers accepting 12 through 18t chromoly or aluminum cogs.

How many Totem hubs will be available?
We will have 200 sets of Totem hubs available internationally sometime in early December.
