Stellar Park Lineup Highlights Amateur BMX Series, Registration Now Open at

Burr Ridge, Ill. – May 6, 2009 – Seeking to find the best amateur skaters and BMX riders across the
country this summer, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour announced today the complete schedule for the 2009
season. The BMX portion of the Tour officially kicks off May 24 in Lakewood, N.J. at the Incline Club, and
registration for all events is now open at gatoradefreeflowtour.com. The 2009 Gatorade Free Flow Tour will include a total of 20 BMX competitions (four BMX vert and 16 BMX park) at 16 parks across the United States. The winners in each of the 20 BMX competitions will be flown to the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals, taking place at the Dew Tour’s Toyota Challenge, September 17-20. Encompassing the “Flow to Pro” theme that is the cornerstone of the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, the two overall BMX park and vert champions earn a spot to compete against the pros at the final stop of the Dew Tour, the PlayStation® Pro in Orlando, Fla., October 15-18. For the first time in its five-year history, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour will be highlighted by a stop in “Pro Town, USA.” Held at the Jaycee Extreme Park, the Greenville, N.C. stop will hold a BMX park
competition. Also highlighting the 2009 BMX schedule are the additions of top parks 4 Seasons in
Milwaukee, Wis., Solution in Muncie, Ind. and Windell’s Camp in Mt. Hood, Ore. Committed to holding
competitions in the best parks across the country, the 2009 schedule also returns to other standout parks
including the Autumn Ramp Park (Joplin, Mo.), The Compound (Perris, Calif.), Ramp Ratz (Petaluma,
Calif.) and Mesh (Longwood, Fla.).
In 2008, Tyler Chamberlain (BMX vert) and Glenn Salyers (BMX park) were crowned the overall
champions. Herrick, Ill.-native Chamberlain won the Gatorade Free Flow Tour’s stop at Woodward West,
going on to claim the title at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals in Salt Lake City and the chance to
compete against the Dew Tour’s best. Salyers, from Kokomo, Ind., earned his berth into the Gatorade
Free Flow Tour Finals by winning the 6th Ave. Skatepark stop of the ’08 circuit. He went on to claim the
overall BMX park title and a spot in the PlayStation® Pro. Look for both Salyers and Chamberlain to
compete in the Dew Tour’s upcoming Nike 6.0 BMX Open, taking place in Chicago’s Grant Park, June
26-27. Past Gatorade Free Flow Tour BMX park champions include Kevin Kiraly (2005), Mike Spinner (’06) and Ricky Moseley (’07) and BMX vert champion John Chin (’07).

2009 REGISTRATION
All competitions are open to both male and female amateur competitors under the age of 21 for BMX
competitions. Contest registration forms, waivers and detailed information are available at
gatoradefreeflowtour.com and at Gatorade Free Flow Tour host parks. There is an entry fee that varies
park to park, and all participants under the age of 18 must bring a parent or guardian to the event to sign

The Gatorade Free Flow Tour, the official amateur series of the Dew Tour, holds competitions across the
country throughout the summer and provides a platform for amateur skaters and riders to showcase their
skills. The 2009 Tour consists of 53 regional events across 33 cities in the U.S., featuring skateboarding
(vert and park) and BMX (vert and park). The winners of each regional event earn a trip to compete in the
Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals held at the Dew Tour’s Toyota Challenge, and the champions in the four
disciplines of the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals automatically earn a spot to compete against the pros
