Dew Tour Announces 2014 BMX Schedule 

Anchored with Ocean City, Portland and Brooklyn Streetstyle Events Added for 10th Anniversary Season

Burr Ridge, Ill. – May 5, 2014 - Celebrating its 10-year anniversary, the Dew Tour will kick off in Ocean City, Md., Alli Sports, a division of the NBC Sports Group, announced today. Marking another year of progression for the property, the Dew Tour has added two new host cities to the 2014 calendar with new events in Portland, Ore. and Brooklyn, NY. The Dew Tour will lead the industry with 28 hours of coverage across the NBC Sports Group, including live coverage on NBC and NBCSN.  

The Dew Tour schedule sees the addition of a fourth event in 2014, developed in response to the success of the streetstyle events for BMX. The Dew Tour kicks off June 25-29, drawing inspiration from the East Coast beach destination of Ocean City, Md. August 16-17, the Dew Tour will return to Portland for the first time since 2011 for the two-day streetstyle event, followed by a second streetstyle event in Brooklyn, N.Y September 20-21.

The Dew Tour schedule will incorporate specific sports and disciplines at each stop:

Dew Tour Beach Championships: Ocean City, Md.

o   BMX Vert

Toyota City Championships: Portland, Ore.
o   BMX Streetstyle
o   BMX Dirt Session

The 2014 Dew Tour will be available on NBC, NBC Sports Network and NBC Sports Live Extra where Dew Tour’s dedicated digital platform – will stream live competitions and bring consumers exclusive Dew Tour action, interviews and behind-the-scenes access on desktops, mobile device and tablets.

DEW TOUR ON NBC SPORTS LIVE EXTRA: NBC Sports Live Extra— NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets — will provide live comprehensive streaming coverage of the Dew Tour via “TV Everywhere,” the media industry’s effort to make quality content available to authenticated customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.
