DANA POINT, Calif. – Madd Gear (MGP), a leading brand in the action sports
industry, announced today that BMX professionals Jared Ward and Colton
Satterfield have been added to the new Madd Gear USA BMX team. Ward and
Satterfield join Team Manager James Foster and will help to build Team
Madd Gear USA BMX. MGP is slated to unveil its line of BMX bikes in the
United States early next year.

Both Ward and Satterfield recently completed welcome videos, which give
fans a closer look at the riders and their BMX skills. The link to Ward’s

Despite being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, Ward continues to push
himself in his riding. This year, he rode with MGP BMX teammate James
Foster and American BMX on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. After spending time
in Vegas together, Foster insisted that Ward was the next addition to Team
MGP BMX. The Youngstown, Ohio native has been riding BMX for nine years.
His styles of riding include park, dirt and street riding.

“I’m really excited to be a part of the new MGP BMX team,” said Ward.
“It’s awesome to see a new company make its way into the BMX community,
and in such a legit way. I can’t wait to see what opportunities arise from
this and I am very excited to see what the future holds.”

Satterfield has been riding BMX for nearly eight years. He is a decorated
rider whose accomplishments include being named ASA Triples Air in the
Square Champion, Dew Tour Ball Park Rookie of the Year in 2009, and
MegaRamp Rio De Janeiro Champion. Additionally, the Salt Lake City native
has competed in several Dew Tour dirt finals and the X Games.

“I am pumped to be a part of the MGP team with my good buddy James Foster
as well as the shredder Jared Ward,” said Satterfield. “I am just as
pumped to see another company get into BMX with the right intentions. The
vibe that this family has reminds me of when I got my first bike. It was
all about fun and freedom.”

“It’s great that we are able to expand our pro team so quickly with
incredibly talented riders. Jared Ward is an up and coming rider with a
Madd skill set. We’re looking forward to getting him on the competition
circuit and out in front of our fans,” said Todd Suskin, Vice President of
Sales and Marketing for Madd Gear USA. “Colton Satterfield is an
accomplished rider who embraces our brand values and is a perfect fit for
Madd Gear’s culture and our fan base. James Foster, Jared Ward and Colton
Satterfield will play an important role in helping us build our BMX
business.”
