Mongoose Announces Third Annual Mongoose Jam at Camp Woodward

Top BMX athletes and amateurs compete at the world’s largest action sports camp 

Madison, Wisc. – June 5, 2014 – Mongoose, a brand of Dorel Industries (TSX: DII.B, DII.A),  today announced the third annual Mongoose Jam which will take place August 6th through 8th  at Camp Woodward in Woodward, Pennsylvania. Twenty-five pros and five amateurs will compete over a three-day period, and will push the boundaries of the sport of BMX with an authentic blend of camaraderie, riding and of course, fun.

Mongoose riders Greg Illingworth, Steve McCann, Kevin Peraza, Paul Ryan, and Ben Wallace will each captain one of five teams at the BMX-only event. The Mongoose team captains will invite four pro BMX athletes to join each of their teams, and will draft one amateur rider from among the Camp Woodward campers during the Amateur Contest, the first contest to take place at Jam. Teams will earn points according to their placement in each contest – dirt, park and street. An overall Mongoose Jam first place team will be crowned after the last event.

Alongside the Mongoose team captains will be their friends and fellow professionals. Team captains are in the process of picking their teams. As new riders are added to team rosters, Mongoose will update team information on Mongoose.com. Mongoose will also release teaser edits, host giveaways and post news on the upcoming Jam as the event continues to get closer.
