When you force riders to pedal their balls off at a less-than-perfect six pack you are bound to get a bunch of bails and crashes. Here’s a grip of slams, falls, and wrecks from the pro contest out in Ohio this past weekend. Seriously man…ouch.

I THINK I SAW A 720 TAILWHIP ATEMPT IN THERE, BUNCH OF HUCKERS MY ASS, THOSE JUMPS JUST SUCKED DICK. YOU WOULD THINK THAT A COMPANY AS BIG AS DK OR SYSTEM CYCLES WOULD DO A BETTER JOB ON THE COARSE FOR A PRO DIRT JUMP CONTEST. CATFISH SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF.

i think it was a 720 dub or trip whip.. phuckin nasty shit.. at this point in time u have to be huckin to ride these contests anyway… its a combo of insane skill with a little bit of careless hucking

Man you guys are right. Dk should have totally just made everything perfect and really hard to enter the contest, then they should have not let anyone sit close to the jumps or have fun, they probably shouldn’t have let anyone do their messed up runs over…….thats what fucking dew tour is for. Grow some balls. This isn’t golf. Jesus.

dk did a great job at that event actually, the jumps werent your top of line, 5o billion dollar contest jumps, and that was the point.
the most badass of “contest dirt jumpers” had the hardest time getting through the dirt, while your unknown real dirt riders were killing them jumps.
They were so chill about everything, that when riders crashed, or didnt finish there runs, they got a redo, and another, and they got to ride over n over till they said to count it. Try to get that at any other $$$ paying contest, good luck.
The DK/System warehouse was also open to ride for anyone that wanted to, which made it even better. Add 2 kegs on tap and food for free, a mini-interbike of bike parts on display, plus 200+ people having a good time, and your looking at the weekend.
Thanks again DK.

haha I guess this is the music change you all asked for?
You guys always bitch about whatever is posted anywhere, you see a bunch of huckers, but when I look on here I just see a bunch of haters. I would rather watch kids huck themselves all day than read what you all think of it. Get rid of the comments PLEASE, it’s just hurting the scene.

i was there. im in the crowd in the verry beggining with the bright orange bars. all you people bitchin are just a bunch of idiots. this is the way a bmx comp should be. it was just a bunch of riders together ridein and havin fun and it was run by bmxers, which is how all bmx comps should be. i garentee every rider there had more fun there than at the dew tour. BMX is not about rules. thats wat sets it apart from every other sport but when people start mainstreaming bmx it gets all thoose bull shit rules. this is BMX

Hey haters, remember this was a “crashes” edit. Check out the other edits of the actual comp, more than enough good riding to go around, not that has anything to do with how good a comp is, or is even important, just thought I’d mention it. The following is something for everyone to think about, not just the haters:
I was recently at a Dew Tour contest. I was on my way to the stairs to the vert ramp. I passed by Kachinsky and Kevin Porter who were also on their way to the stairs to go up and watch vert. They were getting hassled and denied access because Kevin didn’t have a wrist band. I walked by, flashed my wristband and proceeded to go up to a set of bleachers that weren’t even close to being full and watch the contest. I started thinking, when a legend in BMX, who was IN the comp the day before, has to sit and grovel with a security guard to try to gain access to some half full bleachers to watch a contest and then gets denied….it is officially NOT BMX at that point. It became clear that I was attending an “event”, not a BMX contest. BMX is what it is because of contests, not “events” Thanks for keeping it real DK and System, wished I could have been there.

Not everyone could ride in there warehouse, you either had to be pro or win the am contest, and the mini interbike display was only for the people who were distributor’s and worked at bike shops they gave you a pass to wear around, I’m not sure about the kegs but there wasn’t any food for free either, they did have a nice selection of shirts for sale only a dollar each that was pretty cool

Whoever designed and built those jumps must have SMOKED THEIR BREAKFAST!!!
