They make the heavier, in some cases stronger parts cheaper. eg. pitchforks. I never thought about that before lol.

true. so yeah picth forks used to be this heavy ass fork that was literally indestructable. but yeah the heavier stuf becomes cheaper because it doesnt go through so much to make it and not as many people want it. its all about supply and demand

Naw, what im sayin is that http://www.danscomp.com/353004.php?cat=PARTS the normal pitchfork is $99 The extra light crap is 129.99. I'd rather use the normal pitchfork cause they would be stronger to my belief.
Thus why i'm happy, I can buy more reliable parts for less. I'm loving the shit there pulling on you.

i currently have the pitchfork XLT, it was made to be lighter than the previous one, and S&M had their racer (bubba harris i believe?) ride the crap out of their fork and it ghost rode his bike into a wall and the fork was intact! the XLT is incredibly strong, but its one of the fewer forks that isnt tapered, and its hard to get pegs on without peeling a coat of paint off the legs
