Modifications/Other/Extras:
Bars are cut a little bit, and I did a really horrible job hacking the brake mounts off.
Which parts do you go through the most?
Grips and pedals.
Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
Tall bars, pumped up tires, dialed seat height, and the bars have to be perfectly lined up with the forks.
Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Haro backtrail X2, blue. That thing was a tank, but I loved it.
Looks like your barend broke off in your handlebar…what’s going on there? Trying to cookie cutter your stomach?
It broke on a trip and now my bike is lighter.
Tell us about the cranks your are helping Felt design. What else have you been helping out with over there?
The cranks on my bike now are something Alan Foster and I came up with this year at Interbike. the arms have a diamond shape to them. We went with the 48-spline spindle, that way you can run a titanium spindle or get a replacement one easily. They’re basic, clean and, a little different. The name is the best part—we’re going with Ballpark Cranks. The cranks are the first things we worked on. We’re sampling pedals and working on a frame at the moment too. I’m really stoked on how everything is coming out.
