So many articles, so many photos, sometimes it gets pretty difficult for us to decide which ones make the cut for the pages of Ride. Here are ten riding photos that Jeff Zielinski shot while working on some of the articles you’ve seen in Ride over the last few issues.

Eric Lichtenberger, 180, Los Angeles, California.

This spot is pretty wild, not only is there  a sweet view of the downtown Los Angeles skyline, but there is also a ton of graffiti (including the world’s largest single graffiti piece, “MTA”), creepy homeless people lurkin’ all over the place, and a bunch of cool obstacles to ride, too.

Colin Mackay, truckdriver, Greenville, North Carolina.

As luck would have it, Colin spotted this random setup a few days before I came into town shoot. Seeing as he didn’t know how long it was going to last it was one of the first spots we went to. The roof was behind a fence in a schoolyard, but the rest of the building was nowhere to be found—we honestly had no idea where it came from or why it was there.  Our timing was perfect because a few days after I left town the roof was gone.

Brian Foster, Simi Valley, California.

These trails were hidden down in a ravine way out in the San Fernando Valley, so they had a good seven years or so, until some nature buffs were concerned for some trees in the area and they pressured the city to shut the place down.

Beeler Van Orman, turndown, Seattle, Washington.

This photo of Beeler and the shot of Jimmy Levan below are excerpts from The Ramp article we did in July 2009 issue of Ride. Jimmy Levan was the first rider to receive the ramp and he wanted to get a feel for it before he did his wallride over a barbed wire fence so he thought it would be pretty fun to hit the launch down one of the steep Seattle hills. His roommates Beeler Van Orman and Seth Holton joined the session, too.

Aside from doing his gnarly wallride over a fence, Jimmy also wanted to do something soulful and simple with the ramp. It doesn’t get any more simple than blasting down a steep hill.

Kevin Porter, x-up tailwhip, Buffalo, New York.

Over a year later, the launch ramp had gone from Seattle, to Vancouver BC, down to the Garden State, and then up to Buffalo, New York, where the ramp was destined for Jim Cielencki. Bad weather and injuries held JC down, but KP rose up with this x-up whip into a grass hill.
