Which parts do you go through the most?
Grips and tubes
Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
Pretty low in the front end, wide bars, ridiculously tight chain, grippy fresh pedals, 65psi in the tires, and slammed seat.
What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?
I have to have my bars set perfectly otherwise the bike feels weird. I run my bars a little further back than a lot of people.
Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
S&M Warpig!
I thought Subrosa was all black and white…what’s up with the brown paint?
Just got bored and I think I watched an old part of Aitken’s in an Odyssey video. He had a brown bike so it inspired me. Aitken’s the man.
Why are your pedals different colors from one side to the other?
So I can keep track what side of the pedal I like to have facing down. Got it from my buddy Tom “Ohio” Perry. Don’t do it for the same reasons though ’cause I don’t even do pedal grinds. I just have a bunch of weird superstitions.
You seem pretty dialed at nose wheelies…is there anything on your setup that helps with that?
Quite positive it’s the right combination of Subrosa and Odyssey parts while wearing Loteks… And don’t be afraid to go over the bars.
