Knobby tire on the front, smooth on the rear, seat not slammed, but not exactly high, bars slightly forward from the forks, and a back-end with some added length… this bike is setup to go fast, high, and stay in control. Check out the Blue Falcon’s kit.
Name: Brian Foster
Age: 36
Location: South Plainfield, NJ
Sponsors: Fit, Fox, Primo
Frame: Fit Lurch 21 ¼”
Fork: Fit Blade lite
Bars: Fit Northwest
Stem: Fit DLR
Grips: Primo Brian Foster
Barends: Nickels
Detangler: huh
Headset: FSA
Clamp: Integrated
Seatpost: Primo pivotal
Seat: Primo slim
Cranks: Primo Hollowbite 175 mm
Sprocket: Primo Analog 28-tooth
Chain: Not sure, the normal one?
Brakes: Primo
Cable: The barspinny straight cable?
Brake Lever: Dia-Compe Tech 77
Front Tire: Primo Dirt Monster 2.1”
Front Wheel: Primo N4 hub with Primo Balance rim 36-hole
Rear Tire: Primo V Monster 1.95”
Rear Wheel: Primo mix cassette with Primo Balance rim 36-hole
Chain Tensioner: 17mm wrench (lean into it)
Hub Guard: Never
Pegs: None for years.
Pedals: Primo Stricker
Modifications/Other/Extras:
Threw some white Krylon on the seatpost and the back rim, then took paint remover and cleaned off the sides of the rim so the brakes would hit the chrome. And I cut the bars a little.
Your bike is set up pretty big?
21 ¼” top tube, 14 3/8” rear, 28-10, and the Fit DLR stem flipped up.
How often do you work on your bike?
When it has a breakdown—almost never. Bikes that look dialed aren’t ridden enough.
What parts do you go through the most?
Grips, rear tires, tubes
Do you have ever issues switching out “tried and true” parts for the latest versions that your sponsors send you?
I’m about to retire my Tech-77 lever that I’ve had for years for a new Primo one. We’ll see.

Your tires, seatpost height, bars and frame setup is almost exactly like my bike. However mine is a 21′”tt. Seatpost height is one fist BF! Dirty 30’s in da house!

SUCH a good bike check, it’s good to see what the legends of BMX are doing these days, I think the next few bike checks I would really like to see are “Nasty’s” cuz he’s riding for Haro now, or better yet Do the who Vans Team Bike Check. That would be real cool cuz they all ride different style and stuff.

Now that’s a real bike!Don’t change that lever, nothing feels like a tech-77.I’m 38 and still use the same tech77 I had when I was 16.The lever keeps me young.I get all warm and fuzzy when I squeeze it.

The Blue Falcon is a legend among men. I worked at a bike shop about 5 years ago, the shop used to carry schwinn before they were sold in department stores. Well anyway, they had about 30 Blue Falcon stickers tucked away in the back…Ive one on my bike every since.

tech 77 levers are the bomb and the primo dirt monster and v monster set up is the only way to roll. killer bike, killer style. bf shreds the trails.
February 16th, 2009 at 8:56 am

Sweet bike…I just got one :). I actually raced BF way back when, and it`s simply coincidence I`m riding the same frame he is now. Brian is my motivation in stepping back from racing and getting nack to my true love….transitions!

oops…I meant “Back”, not “Nack”

The Blue Falcon continues to keep the motivation alive for us older riders. (I’m 36 also) Its great to see Brian still going bigger than ever and still pushing tricks out that just sick. Now here’s a pro who has kept bmx alive at heart AND is not a cooperate sellout like most of the pro’s are becoming. Please come to Nashville Brian ! We have some nice downtown spots that fit your riding style.. !
