Check out Aaron Johnson, Robert Bebout, Bobby Siana, Clint Lambert, and Sean Storms dicing down Orangeshow BMX’s first straight. All these dudes found spots in the main. credit: James Ayres
The os-bmx.com guys brought out a good 20-30 old school bikes. You name it, there was probably one there. They also hooked me up with a cool mug and t-shirt. Thanks, guys! credit: James Ayres
Tyler Brown was haulin’ ass all day long and had the start of his life in the main, but came un-clipped on his second or third pedal and spent the rest of the lap playing catch up. credit: James Ayres
Overall, it was a pretty cool day; the track was decent (although it had a few soft spots you had to dodge), there were over 50 motos, the pro racing was really good, and if they ever get the track surfaced with clay (or that weird stuff Orange Y uses), it’s more than worthy of a national. If you’re anywhere near the area, you should definitely check it out. For more info, contact the ABA at www.ababmx.com.
I don’t think Javier Colombo (#365) lost a lap all day; first place in a stacked main and about $600 richer. Clint (#37) gave him a good run down the second straight, but got swooped by Aaron Johnson a few seconds later… credit: James Ayres
