Stolen has a new parts kid that includes everything you need to build a custom bike except for the frame. The parts are ready to be assembled, making your build super quick and easy, and everything weighs in at under 19 pounds and cost less than $550.
From stolenbmx.com:
“We started the Cheater parts kit project over a year ago and the build kits are finally on the water! The idea behind this project is to bridge the gap where a quality complete bike stops ($650) and where a quality custom bike starts ($1,200). Now you can choose whatever frame you like, add a Cheater Build Kit and viola; your own custom complete bike. The Cheater kit comes with the wheels built, the tires, tubes & rims strips are mounted with the tires already aired up. The grips and barends are already mounted to the Lumberjack bars. The seat and post are already paired to each other, even the crown race is pressed on, easy. The Cheater kits come equipped with Stolen & Odyssey parts and are available in two colors-ways; Gang Green and all Black.
The entire Cheater build kit only weighs 18.9 lbs and retails for $549.99.
DO THE MATH: if you were to buy a a 4.5 lbs frame for $299.99 add a custom Cheater kit and complete bike would weigh 23.4 lbs and would cost you $849.98 + tax if applicable.”

they should have left the bars out, since not everyone like the lumberjacks geo.
i’d still rather get the fit part kits. They’re a little heavier but i like the style more.

actually, nevermind the fit parts kid is lighter as well

Hey Cartman, How can you figure the fit kit is lighter? The kit doesnt come with bars or a fork so it is tough to compare. If you total the cost the way they show it in the ad it is $629.89 retail without a frame. Our kit comes with mostly aftermarket parts, theirs come with mostly OEM parts. Pretty hard to compare.
