Modifications/Other/Extras:
Cut bars, cut forks, shaved the knob on the lever, bushing bottom bracket, random RD sticker on the frame…

Which parts do you go through the most?
Probably grips if I don’t throw the bike. Maybe bars, seats, and random stuff if I lose my mind.

Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
I like short and light bikes. Everything should be tight—good enough so I don’t hear noises. Slightly higher in the front, and skinny tire in the front for faster turning.

What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?

There are lil’ things here and there. I like straighter cranks, the knob on the lever should be gone, skinny tire in the front, the whole bike overall should be light.

Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Hell yeah! A shinny Haro Shredder that got stolen like a month after I bought it. :(

Tell us about your signature frame from KHE that you are prototyping right now. What will you change from this prototype to the next?
I’m changing a few things. The gusset will be gone, and we are doing an internal one. The BB height is gonna be higher, changing the machete cut out bridge for a regular bridge. (I think it makes the rear triangle stronger.) We also are trying to make tapered and 3D dropouts.

Why do you like light bikes so much and what do you do to keep the weight down?

It makes life easier! It is easier to spin and whip, you don’t get as tired, better handling, etc… I try to have the lightest parts on the market and KHE is definitely on top of it. Also a healthy diet, and a lot of riding to burn the carbs!

Why do you have a piece of Velcro stuck to your brake post?

I stole that idea from Rob Darden. I like brakes on the bottom, and the Velcro just stops the noise of the chain hitting it when it’s loose.

Any chance we will see you riding with pegs or brakeless in the near future?
I was brakeless at the end of last year. I might try it again sometime soon, and the same goes with pegs. I was riding pegs until recently, and they’ll come back on soon as well!
