Now i know this was a park comp and i never really pay attention to them but was has brought the competition to just whips, bars, big spins and tucks. all i saw were just bangers and no creativity. at least gerber had class and busted that superman haha

i was at the contest and i was soo psyched for craig after his run, there was no doubt in my mind he didn’t win he pulled some nasty ass shit that noone else even does. It was such a shocker when they called him for 4th. kinda bullshit.

the contest was crazy like usual, Craig definitely had an insane run with the 1080, triple whip, then front flip flair… but Josh Perry just killed it, plain and simple. smooth, dialed, big tricks, and he rode the whole course.

i think it is all politics in this sport..when jomo started they had regular guys judging,it was a fair shot for anyone..now that they have let LOSEY take over the judging rules and pulled in big judges only the big names are gunna win,kinda like being at a small Dew Tour..I was there and I heard a judge say LOSEY changed the judging format for jomo and its nothing like it was in the beginning..which I think sucks!!and ya’ll know where josh outs all his web edits and who he’s friends with LOSEY..but props to him for nailing the best trick..if I were Mast I’d never go back to joplin..he’s been 4th every year since the first jomo…but has the biggest bangers!!!!

i dont know why everyone winges about these comps and the tricks that went down, everyone rode so sick and heaps of good shit went down, yea for sure craig shoulda finished atleast a spot or 2 higher cause of what he did, hes an amazing rider and an amazing person, i know i met him at bmx games but josh obviously won cause he rode the best on the day, did all the best shit, mixed it up, cmon he did do a 360 bar to bar to whip, thats the craziest shit iv ever seen so dont hate on what went down or hate on josh winning, it doesnt matter who was the best rider there it matters who rode best on the day and josh obviously rode the best

first of all, jomopro has always brought awesome judges, usually legendary riders or very important people in the bmx world. second, both craig and josh are up and comers, neither of them really had an advantage over the other. sure craig had bangers, but nothing was pulled super smooth. josh on the other hand was extremely smooth, had bangers, and a few creative lines. now do i think that craig should have gotten as low as 4th? thats a tough one.
but everyone needs to whining so much, whats done is done, the judges spoke. they are respectable people in the bmx world and you should respect their decisions.
and lastly, yes, craig should keep coming, he’s still gonna place and make that money!

I don’t know where to start….lots of adrenalin and wound up children on this thread so I have to tread carefully. Daniel Dhers is a robot, I’m pretty sure of that as we’ve had nothing new from him in a year and as someone pointed out it’s like he doesn’t need to be there anymore. Therefore it’s nice to see someone winning apart from him. However, I have seen dudes ride shopping carts smoother than Craig Mast so that rules him out…….the bottom line is…..BMX got ugly kids and the judges have a harder job than ever. These guys have to count tailwhips and spins at an alarming rate and only see half the runs as there counting responsibilities take over. That’s probably why these kids don’t get disqualified for bitch no handers. BMX Contests like this should just have one ramp to give the judges a chance. Or just give first to the bike that is taken through the maximum amount of spins during one run? That’d be about as interesting as watching this shit was…..barspin to another barspin to almost no hander whip to late flair whip 1080…….go back to your video games please and let’s see some bike riding videos please…..

I have craig masts first finals run on video. He did seven tricks(yes, hard ones), and his foot slipped off on five of them. I love watching the kid kill it, but I don’t think he even deserved 4th. dhers destroyed it like crazy. but he landed low, and slipped his foot alot as well. And he only did box jump and quarter airs. Stock stuff. Judge if you want, but the justges up there were all experienced and know what they are doing.

i hate daniel dhers. mainly because i can count on one hand the tricks that he does, not including combos of them, and he stills wins medals… it’s ridiculous. 720’s, tailwhips, no handers, and flairs. yes sometimes he does combine them, but all he’s doing is the same thing over and over again. I’m tired of it.
