First time on an airplane… 1999, Beaverton Oregon, BS Contest.

First contest you competed in… Well, I raced first back when I was like 10. Freestyle-wise it I can’t really remember. They all blend together when I think about it. Something local though. I bet Seth (Kimbrough) would know, haha.

First injury… First BAD one I was like 14. I hit my face right on the corner of the flat bottom of a mini ramp that was next this quarter I was riding.

First song you had in a video part… Boston, “Peace of Mind.”

First set of trails you rode… Some that Seth and I built in his field.

First magazine cover… January ‘03, Transworld BMX. Invert over a hip from Road Fools 10.

First time on TV… Not to sure on this one… Maybe ‘01 or ‘02 for the X-Games. I never watched for it.

First bad trend you followed… I didn’t follow it, as I’m sure I sent it for my middle school. I did proceed to use them afterwards though… The JNCO pants! I’m pretty sure I set that trend for my middle school, haha.

First time you traveled out of the country… October, 2002, Backyard Jam in England.

First time you met a real pro… I met Brennan Brown, Bobby Fisher, and Jeff Harrington at a contest in Knoxville TN. It was sweet! Jeff ended up hooking me and Seth up with profile stuff for a good while.

First time you realized you could ride a BMX bike for a living… Probably when I was like 19 or 20. I started getting more sponsors that paid me to ride for them, haha. It wasn’t much of a living I guess at the time but I got by ok. A few years later I got a couple more sponsors and I was able to actually save some money. It’s a blessing for sure! It wasn’t something that I tried to do, it just sort of happened and I went with it, haha.

First autograph you signed… I think it was at an Airwalk demo. I was with Van Homan, Wiz, Brian Foster, and few others so it made it easier because we were at a table setup for it.

First time you rode in the X Games…
2001.

First good BMX bike…
Hoffman Taj, Frame/fork/stem combo.

First trick you learned… One-hander or feeble grind.
