Tate Roskelley’s Super Bike Slide Sequence
The photo of Tate Roskelley on the Start spread in our 150th issue of Ride left quite a few people scratching their heads wondering how exactly he pulled off his signature move, the super bike slide. It’s not too common to see someone lay their bike completely on it’s side while rolling fast with the pedals grinding and ankle bone scraping and pull out of it. They say a picture is a worth a thousand words, so how about 12 or so pictures in a sequence? Skeptics, doubters, critics, and dumbfounded can all rest now, because here is the start to finish of the super bike slide.

Pedal, shoe, and ankle… All destroyed in the name of freestyle.

that´s a sick move :D.
that’s nice! i love it!
Crazy!
This hell :))))
I can dig it, freestylin’. Me and the og friends use to do this with aluminum pedals and a bit of old shorties skatewax smeared on the ground back in the early 90’s. Kids were still running primary colored shoes and dropouts on their forks back then. Good to see brakes on the bike, maybe kids will stop asking me if I run brakeless to be like Edwin soon.
erik stop lying and being a retard, you haven’t done shit like this

Thats sick, I didnt think anyone else did that trick! I got a buddy thats been Super Bike Slidin since the 90s. He never grinded his ankle for his bike though props!
