Hey craig, you owe me $5!

  • sass Says:

wow, everybody rode so good, but why the hell did dhers win again..i mean gah.

  • Trevor Oliver Says:

dhers is good, but has anyone notices in almost every competition Ride has posted he does the same combination of tricks ever since i first saw him in X games ‘07. time for someone to open their eyes and realize that that it gets boring after a while

  • cory Says:

it was pretty enjoyable to watch comps when the ridders would flow and still pull big tricks instead of peadaling their ass’s off at everything.

  • matt Says:

Its too easy for most kids to judge against Daniel, and thats depressing. You guys forget what these contest are about.

Its not 1996. (Half of you werent even riding yet) Doing a 70 second run that consist of 5 big tricks and a hard crash at the end doesent cut it. Putting a foot down? Wasting 5 seconds to get a deep breath of air? Forget about it. A trick after the buzzer? HA. Dew tour is a perfect example of what makes a competitve bike rider.

Not 1 time did Daniel touch a ramp and not do SOME form of stunt. He uses all of his time, with intense and hard tricks, on ALL of the course. Not saying that spinner didn’t do a great run, his consisted of a total of about 6 tricks [from what they showed] and that simply doesn’t cut it according to Dew Tour judges. I dont see any favorism at all. Hell, kagy won vert this time.

On top of all of that, its not Daniels fault that he has all the super hard tricks dialed and consistent.. He’s just that freaking good.

    Props Daniel.

  • my opinion does not matter Says:

And how was dhers run better than spinners?

  • The Radness Says:

They should all do more tailwhips. And pedal more.

Does “flow” even count in a bmx contest now?
Can any one even do a “slow” tailwhip anymore?

  • tod.borndead Says:

I’m not gonna complain here, although this riding “style” is not something I prefer. Bottom line, all of these riders can do amazing things on a bicycle. If Dhers wins them all, it’s because he is unleashing the hardest stuff out there. Everyone talks about “flow” or lack of…i’m sure all of these riders could do so and throw huge gaps at it, but their choice is to drop bangers all over the place. That’s the beauty of “FREEstyle”.

  • ben Says:

dhers run is so boring….jump box, quarter, jump box…not a single hip or particularly big transfer line. my problem with dhers is too many of the same trick. fair enough his 720s are pretty awesome, but he did 3 at least in that run, and other than that just loads of tailwhips. no frontflips, no backflips, no 3 tables/turndowns…nothing. and forget about flow….

i like originality. as much a cranmer bitch cranks (as does dhers) at least you know he is capable of doing ridiculous stuff no one else will eg frontflip whips….spinner has 3 tricks he practically invented, or at least did first, dhers does not.

  • midwestbmx Says:

    exactly
remember every rider plans his own run and its up to
him to perform it with whatever stlye or flow he wants
if you dont like whats going on in the dew dont watch

  • Trevor Oliver Says:

on that note it would be nice if they showed spinner’s full run as well. nobody else pulled a quad whip in competition, nor did they complete a 1080 either

  • Trevor Oliver Says:

    props

  • Josh Says:

    I fucking hate dhers

  • Josh Says:

    but sick vidy

  • mathyou Says:

rob dardens run was fucking awsome, it stuipid when a trick is done four times in one run just on a diffrent ramp. the corked 7 is an amazing trick but when you do it in every contest 4 times it gets old.

  • davo Says:

all u faggots need to shut the fuck up all of u prolly suck a fat cock at riding and have no reason to tlk…so instead of typing shit go ride and get better or just kill yourself…fags…but not the people that say good things

  • aurora Says:

dhers did 4 flairs or so. you must be blind or something

  • aurora Says:

hey look. its ryan nyquist. doing the same shit he has been since started riding. barspin this barspin that. barspins are gay. learn something new ryan. he just did the exact same tricks from the dirt finals as in the park finals.

  • Trevor Oliver Says:

trick vocabulary is basically only whips, flairs, and a few 720s. originality is steller there. originality is what preogresses the sport

  • matt Says:

relax, smile more, bmx is fun. no one should hate. especially cuz they’re better than you

  • steve Says:

holy shit he had to work for that one

  • johnny Says:

get rid of these msg board things please ride bmx… please. They are just f*%$ing ridiculous. nothing but shit canning. Im sure a alot of decent people agree on that

  • wiktor Says:

one thing i just don’t like about daniel’s runs is that he only do 720 flats / tailwhips / flairs (yeah i know with variations)

there was times when he was doing frontflip spine
    HE SHOULD DIVERSITY HIS RUNS!
like someone said here “his runs getting boring”

  • nick Says:

Im sick of Daniel Dhers having the same run and tricks in every contest ,it just all looks the same everytime i see him ride contest.

  • MG Says:

Looks like the major majority agrees that Dhers needs to take the next season off and let the other kids play…

  • fl Says:

    Anyone know dosch’s song?

  • keith Says:

The funniest thing is that probably none of you has ever ridden with either Daniel or Spinner. Both of them are completely dedicated riders who KILL it every time they ride. Practice or contest. Both of them are great guys who love the sport and have pushed the limits. By hating them because they are winning contests is ridiculous. It is easy to say the judging should be changed but no one can come up with a better system. How do you compare riders with totally different styles? If someone tricks every ramp they hit and repeats something, isn’t that better than doing an xup or dead air? Daniel did this and deserved the win (in my opinion). Spinner was real close and he did throw some of the hardest tricks known to man, but if you watched the TV show you saw that he ran out of steam a little (no offense Spinner I can’t even imagine how tiring a quad must be). I think next contest you will see him put it together a little better.

You should also realize that the contests are set up for high speed and the repetitive back and forth between 2 sides type of riding. It is done on purpose. The xgames superpark tried something different and it wasn’t neccessarily better. Different yes.

I know that nothing said here matters at all and that all the haters will start bitching about something but maybe one of you guys will decide your energy is much better spent on your bike instead of trying to look cool insulting a fellow rider.

    -Keith

  • Alex Says:

Yeah… like totally dude. Good one.

  • Trevor Oliver Says:

swearing ever 5 or so words won’t solve a thing

  • sad Says:

mike spinner was way better than daniel dhers ftw

  • KR3WJONES Says:

Yes i agree, get rid of this message board. there are way to many people out there that think they have a right to breath. but thats besides the point. nobody wants to follow up a good video with a bunch of bitching about how someone is way to good. and we can all agree that everyone that has shit to say isn’t a true bmxer because if they were they would be cool enough to watch to learn or just be fucking stoked. i’m to the point were i am going to watch videos els where because i can’t stand all the little winy punks out there that think they know shit. when was the last time you fuckin landed a 720 over a box that size you dumb fucks.

    props dhers

  • davo Says:

    ur a pussy

like most of these ppl on here u probs blow dick at riding too pussy

  • davo Says:

    he hates u

  • davo Says:

can u even do a whip at all

  • davo Says:

hey look they shred u so shut up

  • mervz87 Says:

yup.. you’re right dude! Spinner is far better than Dhers.. But… where’s scotty cranmer?……….. his not on the list.. i only know little about this latest dewtour. I’m a Filipino.. unfortunately, i can’t watch this competion live.. only internet ……….

  • dew Says:

Are girls allowed in AST dew/in bmx comps? I might start bmx because it looks fun.

  • steve byrnes Says:

anyone who has any shit to talk on your own sport as harsh as you kids have been saying might as well just quit the sport its bike riding so shut the fuck up

  • ryan Says:

Daniel Dhers is great at what he does, he is a competitive athlete. That is a fact. He is the only person in the world capable of what he can accomplish in a “run”. Sure the tricks have been done before, but 5 or so 720’s in 2 minutes is ground breaking for bmx. Though he may not be as original as others, he is also “helping” the evolution of riding little kid bikes for fun, accomplishing many “firsts”, repetitive or not, along the way.(Just like Mr. Smiley Spinner)
We all appreciate 360 turndowns, style, tabletops, a massive flairs(diogo), and footjams because we understand that they are tricks learned from years of figuring out all of the technicalities of keeping it rubber side down.We also know that these tricks may be learned and perfected while hanging out with our friends throughout the city or at the skatepark all of every single day. The appreciation also comes from the fact that the most forgiving surface we had to fall on was wood..if we were lucky..sometimes grass. A lot of BMXers discredit what Dhers does because we know he used the foam and the resi(but he still has to do it on cement too)
The majority of the people who watch the dew tour havent spent a day having fun on a bike. So they can not appreciate the little gems, as they dont know that some of those “small tricks” done at DewTours are technically just as difficuly as a 720. Those folks appreciate the spectacle. They appreciate the obvious risk of the massive 720s and double tailwhips. The big money contests are designed for those tricks. They want people to watch it on TV, so theyre gonna strive to play what the viewers want. (Dew tour wants as many viewers as possible, which will attract other big companies to Drop Money into bmx in return for a sticker on a ramp.) We can appreciate those tricks as well, and we should.
We should appreciate everything about bmx. flatland, racing, street doggin it, dew tour, skatepark rattin it, 10 year olds at the parks riding a blue Next getting in our way a bunch but still bolting out just like us when the cops show up, xgames, Leland Thurman, catfish, 5 720s in 2 minutes, the big brands getting involved…everything!
BMX is my passion and probably most of yours. So lets love it and get stoked on the things we love about it and let the “boring” pass by unharmed. Why pay so much attention to the things that you dont like. Lets use the “stoke-ometer” and comment on the aspects that we think were great, we may open eachothers eyes to tricks or style that another may have missed, that can also “help” the evolution of riding a kids bike for fun…and loving it. Wouldnt that be wonderful.
Lets not ask RideBMX to delete the comment option and use it the way it was intended, with positivity. Maybe i just blabbed a bit, but i love bmx.
i was stoked on the whole video.
Diogos flair gapper and table top 360 clip was awesome.
    Dennis Enarson. Dennis Enarson…so good.
This new website design is great.

  • anonymous duh. Says:

thats cool MATT. Doesn’t mean it didn’t all look like shit. You wanna look at a pile of shit all day? Watch gary young, dennis enarson, mike aitken, corey bohen, etc.. ride a contest and tell me you want to watch daniel dehrs ride let alone win. Go back in time to 85′ if your so old. BMX was cooler then anyways. for serious.

  • CrapCrank Says:

Rapid whips look like complete crap.

Dhers has a far more solid, rounded, and larger style than Spinner. More flow and a far better bangers to style ratio.

Somebody needs to come out with enormous, ridiculously slow, single whips. Rapid whips look like you’re on a fucking razor scooter.

  • token Says:

who ever said that dhers did a trick everytime he went off a ramp is blind.

    he did 3 dead airs

  • oli Says:

diogo is fuckin awesome. does the biggest flair then he can just snap a perfect invert he can do it all. garret and diogo should have joint 1st haha. peace.

  • Trevor Oliver Says:

steller bro, thanks for calling me a pussy. it really hurts me to an unlimited extent. you know, just for that, im going to completely change my personality and listen to exacty what you say… i wanna be just like you…

…dude, “like most of these ppl on here u probs blow dick at riding too pussy” doesn’t make sence at all. schools help you with spelling and sentence structure; i’d advise you to go back to the elementary level
