While in England over at the 4down headquarters, Corey built up a new bike including ‘09 samples from United. Check out the new changes to the frame, forks, and bars, and see what parts Corey is running now that he does not have a parts sponsor. As if you need any more reason to look at this one, Corey shot all the photos in his new home photo studio.

Modifications/Other/Extras:
Cut axles down, put a small piece of rubber from old grip under the end cap pedals to make them spin really slow.

Which parts do you go through the most?
Grips and barends.

Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
Big tires, seat not too low, tight chain and pedals, bars even with the forks, and nothing rattling.

Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Yes it was a GT. Then a purple Mongoose.

Give us a run down of all the 2009 sample parts from United on your bike and what is new/different about them.
Frame: Thread in Brake mounts and moved to the seat stays. Built in seat clamp. Got rid of the Trinity logo plate and wish bone. We went back to the simple tube look. There is a cut out in the dropouts. The gusset on down tube has been moved internally. Internal double butted seat tube. This frame is the Heat Treated version.
Fork: Built in bearing race.
Bar: 8″ rise, 26″ wide, 10 degree back sweep, 2 degree up sweep.

You seem to have had several bike checks on this site in the past few years, how often do you build a brand new bike?
Probable like every 4 to 6 months because I will get tired of the color or have to test out new samples.

These photos of your bike are ones you shot yourself, and they look like they were done in a studio; what’s up with that?
I bought two shoot through umbrellas and have been trying to learn and practice studio shooting. I set up a full size white sheet for a backdrop.

[Editor's note: Check out some of Corey's photos on his Flickr page. Good stuff!]

What made you go with the all black and a splash of red look?
It was just an idea I had while putting it together over at 4Down. I already had the red chain so I thought, “let’s try the red sprocket.”
