Only once in a blue moon does something come along that revolutionizes an industry.Fortunately for us in BMX, that thing has just arrived. It came in a small red box, mysteriously labeled and difficult to open. So difficult, in fact, that after toiling with it for hours on end, I gave up and came back to it the next day packing some heat. Upon opening it, I knew I was holding something special, something unique, and I quickly went out and installed it on the closest bike I could find. The look, the pizzazz, and the sounds it made; this thing will make you go higher, go faster? and louder. You?re looking at the Turbo Spoke!

The truth: I got an e-mail a few months ago from someone talking about getting this thing in the products section of Ride. I initially hit reply and started ripping them a new one about what a stupid product they were pushing, but halfway through, I just decided to reply with, “Send your product to:” and gave them the address. A month or so later, I had this weird box on my desk. I left it there for a few days, but my curiosity finally got the best of me and I opened it up. Lo and behold, it was the Turbo Spoke. I snuck it out back, put it on Losey?s bike and rode it around. It’s like having a muffler on your bike. The card hits your spokes and it resonates through the “muffler” and you get the sound of a motorcycle or a Honda with a fart can on it from your bike. It’s retarded. We had some fun with it and now it’s somewhere in the warehouse where it’ll probably sit for another year. Get one today!
