On a scale of one to ten, ten meaning you love it, how much do you like working on your bike?
Getting your hands greasy sucks, but everything goes together super easy so it’s not too bad, so 5.
How long do you typically ride a bike before building a new one? Do you switch out parts as they go? Or just build a whole fresh kit?
A few months on a frame, usually, and I swap out parts just here and there.
What parts do you change out the most often?
Tubes. Glass is everywhere and I run low PSI.
What are you most particular about on your bike?
Low PSI and thin grips.
For being so tall I’d figure you’d have a sliver of seatpost showing at the very least, but it’s totally slammed. Do you just never sit down?
I try not to, better for the back to just stay up.
Tell us a little about your frame, what was important to you when designing it?
A bit taller and longer top tube, clean look and strong. I really like the stand over height.
Overall, how do you like your bike to feel?
I like everything pretty tight and non-spinny—pedals, chain, cranks and headset even. Thin soft grips and tires.
Your tires are really, really squishy, why do you run such low pressure in your tires?
Just feels so nice, they squeak really loud, makes drops a bit softer.
Are you concerned with how much your bike weighs? How much does this bike weigh?
Mm… not really, not sure. Everyone says it’s light, though.
Are you willing to experiment with new parts and mix things up, or do you prefer to stick to tried and true?
I would if I felt or saw the need, but I think it’s pretty dialed how it is.
