How goes it, Chad?
Going good dude! Been enjoying the holidays with the family, traveling a bit more, and riding a lot of valley pools. My daughter is in preschool now too so i’m back to doing homework again.
You obviously ride a lot of everything and choose to go pegless, why’s that?
Well, I grew up not knowing anything different. Nobody called themselves a “street” rider or a “Park” rider when we were younger, we rode anything that we could get our bikes on! Fresno didn’t have any skate parks even 4 years ago so building dirt jumps was also a big part of riding. And for being pegless I love the way a simple bike looks and feels. The less I have to work on the more i get to ride.
Did you modify any parts or do anything special?
Nope, no mods. The bike i’m running right now is perfect without trimming anything. I did add some flush bolts on the hubs to keep in clean.
Are most of your bikes all black?
Yes. I can’t seem to get away from it! I tried a few new colors this year and really liked it, but it always goes back to black.
What part (or angle of a part/frame/etc.) are you most particular about one your bike?
Frame and bars. I like a longer frame 21″ and up, and my bars have to feel relaxed…if that makes sense.
What’s new with Kink stuff?
Working on a new edit right now for them that should be out at the end of January and getting ready for a Florida Trip. The rest of 2014 is looking pretty busy as well.
What else is really specific to you when it comes to bike setup?
I have to stretch my grips sometimes microwave them (weird I know)
If ya got ‘em, this is where the thanks go…
