Sam and I have only hung out in Mexico…twice. That’s not too much face-time, but I do know that he’s a no bullshit type of guy, has an affinity for for a beer or two, and can go from chill to bombing a handrail in .5 seconds.

How you been? What’s new?
I’ve been good. Currently sitting on the beach soaking up the sun right now.
We shot these photos in Mexico on the MacNeil trip down to Puerto Vallarta. How would you describe your time out there?
It wasn’t the most productive trip I’ve ever been on, we were staying at an all-inclusive resort with free alcohol, but it was a good time. Really hot, and humid but was still a blast.
At the end of the trip you gave away a big portion of this bike to a girl rider…how’d that come about?
She got her bike jacked while we were down there and I felt bad for her, she was super bummed crying and shit so I gave it to her the day before we left. Was cool to see so many girl riders.
Did you modify any parts or do anything special?
Nah everything is stock…cut my flanges off, that’s it.
What part (or angle of a part/frame/etc.) are you most particular about one your bike?
Nothing really, as long as my chain and headset are tight I’m good.
MacNeil is working on a video…you been stacking clips?
Yeah we’ve been filming. I’m definitely stoked on the opportunity to film another part.
What else is really specific to you when it comes to bike setup?
Nothing really…low tire pressure that’s about it. I like everything nice and tight, but due to my lazy nature that’s usually not the case.
Any more signature parts in the works?
Yeah we’ve been working on a tire for MacNeil, hopefully have some samples of those on my bike real soon.
Tell me a story about Darcy Saccucci…preferably an embarrassing one
Last year, Darcy and I were leaving the bar one night and I was heading out to meet some chick named Tess. All night the words Tess tickles were coming out of his mouth. So, he was driving home (sober) and decided to text me saying, “get some Tess tickles”, and while texting me, he managed to put his van in a ditch and write it off. Don’t text and drive.
If ya got ’em, this is where the thanks go…
Thank you for the questions and good times in Mexico, all my friends, and all my sponsors for keeping me rolling fresh. Thanks!
