This is really cool–Red Bull’s Ramparonia contest. See a little bit of action above and see results below.
Ben Hennon won Red Bull Ramparanoia 2012 with Daniel Dhers taking Best Trick for an beautifully executed 360 tail whip to barspin, this short report brings you some of the action.
“I feel honored to have been invited to this competition and I am happy to have won. The experience was amazing … without a doubt Red Bull Ramparanoia helps to increase the level of BMX even more, because we really had to outdo ourselves to ride in a place far away from everything, at 4000 m.a.s.l, and with totally amazing and challenging natural ramps” said Ben Hennon after walking away with the win.
The competition is set against a breathtaking backdrop of pumice rock formations moulded by volcanic lava flow known as “Campo de Piedra Pomez”, or the Pumice Field. Some of the world’s best BMX riders gathered to compete in this unique landscape and for a chance to ride such unusual terrain.
Check out the clip above to find out what got Ben so excited and see how some of the other riders, who included Sebastian Keep and Aaron Ross, tackled the landscape.
