Around a decade ago, it wasn’t uncommon to find a 16 or 18 inch bike from a larger BMX company, more than likely one owned by a corporate company as opposed to a rider owned/run one. Fast forward to modern day, and companies are quick to capitalize on the ever growing culture known as BMX, with many rider owned or run companies going past simply doing completes to offering 18, 16, and now, 12 inch models. Cult just released info on their new complete lines, where they are delving into all of the sizes listed above, with video proof to show off their durability. Most notable is the 12 inch size, which is a first for a rider owned company as far as I can remember…check out ten year old Bryce Tyron above and eight year old Max Vu below.
Here’s the word from Cult themselves:
Here’s some info on the upcoming JUVENILE COMPLETE LINE that will be in stock very soon…With so many friends and family of CULT having babies, we took a hard look at the state of 12″, 16″ and 18″ inch completes and set out to design bikes kids could actually shred on…Working on the geometry, weight, aesthetic etc…We then tested the heck out of the bikes with 10 year old Bryce Tryon on the 18″, Tucker on the 16″ and 8 year old Max Vu on the 12″…These guys put the bikes through the paces and we are pleased with how they hold up…Watch these two edits below…http://player.vimeo.com/video/39224503
