Modifications/Other/Extras:
ODI lever grip I stole off Greg Hens’ bike.
What’s up the limited edition Fuman badge on your headtube?
Jake Montgomery made four of them (plans on making more) so he and Orbell got one, then it was a contest for the last two. A game of bottle caps tossed in a bucket won a badge and a dart tournament settled it for the fourth. Long story short, I took home that fourth one that night.
Does the one grip with a flange have something to do with your brake lever?
I always cut my thumb so I figure if I have a flange it will help to protect it a bit.
And why is your lever spaced so far from your grip?
To avoid cutting my thumb, plus I grab the end of the lever because I get a little extra pull that way.
After a few years without brakes, you put a stop to it, and then you recently added a Gyro, too? Obviously the Gyro was needed since you do barspins and whips, but that’s one of the reasons most people take their brakes off, but you did the opposite, why?
I’ve always rode brakes then I would switch my setup just for a little change, but I think the brakes are on for good now. One of my first BMX bikes had the levers switched and it just stuck.
Why is there a deep V shape cut out of your front left hubguard?
They were sample plastic guards I was testing, cold weather isn’t good for plastic bike parts.
What about those weird scratches on your chain stay, some new grind?
Not sure about the scratches maybe 360 over crook slip outs?
Knobby Dirt Monster up front, you been hittin’ some dirt jumps?
I just ran this tire setup as a kid and when Primo came out with a tan wall I figured I’d give them another go.
Do you have any interest in plastic pegs?
I’ve ridden them many times. Its good to have at least one in your bag just incase.
You’ve been giving some tattoos while you’ve been down here. Is tattooing something you could see yourself doing in the future?
Yeah, I’m sure I will always be drawing, so I’m sure tattooing will have its part in there.
Other than tattooing and taking trips to California, how have been deadline with the Niagara Falls winter?
Winter really hasn’t been harsh at all this year, well I mean, yeah, there has been a bunch of bitter cold winter days, but for the most part we’ve been able to ride outside a few days a week all winter.
Primo has been going through some major team changes, so they have any other plans in the works, with the new team and all?
Nothing set in stone, but I’m sure a good full team trip would be in the works.
What about Sunday, wed edits and a year end DVD or something?
Yeah, I think the plan is to do a web edit every few months of everyone on the team, then putting them into a DVD at the end of the year.
Thanks list?
Ryder Distribution, Sunday Bikes, Primo, Lotek, Quintin, BMXFU, and Orbell’s Garage for keeping it in tip-top shape.
