We caught up with Kyle Baldock at Dew Tour this past weekend to check out his latest setup. He just built a brand new Mirraco prototype and it’s super light, and super dialed. Also, we have photos of the bike Kyle was on earlier this year up until a few weeks ago when he built up the new whip. Take a look…

Which parts do you go through the most?
Before I started using the KHE bracket bearings I went through a lot of bracket bearings. I also go through a fair few seats.
Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
I like my bike to feel stable. I hate having anything loose on my bike. I also love having a light bike.
What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?
My handlebars…they have upsweep. I don’t like to ride with no upsweep.
Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
It was a red mongoose. I broke it learning flairs
How important to you is it that your bike is light?
I love having a light bike. I feel it makes everything a bit easier to do.
Why is your bike so dirty in these photos…aren’t you a park rider? Do you clean your whip when you get home from a dirt jumping comp?
Haha, I am a park rider—just started riding dirt. I spend about an hour cleaning up my bike when I get back from a dirt contest. You seem to get dirt all over the place…that stuff is messy!
Here’s what Kyle’s bike looked like when we shot photos of it about a month and a half ago…
