During the vert finals at X Games 17 a few nights ago Simon Tabron went down hard on an under-rotated 900 and shattered his collarbone. He underwent his first ever surgery yesterday and had a plate and seven screws put in and will be off his bike for the next four weeks. To be on top of the game for so long and never have had a surgery before is quite a feat in itself, but that’s besides the point…While he’s recovering he has Chad Kagy at his house to keep him company who is also recovering from a gnarly injury sustained during X Games. Luckily for both of them a neighbor of Simon’s (who happens to be Chad Kerley’s teacher) is delivering delicious food to them on a regular basis. We wish both Simon and Chad a speedy recovery and look forward to them getting back on the deck of a vert ramp very soon. Until then, hit them up on Twitter (@simontabron & @chadkagy) with jokes, stories, n00dz of your chick, well wishes, or anything else that will take their mind off the fact that they can’t ride right now.
