Which parts do you go through the most?
Pedals, grips, axles, and lately stem bolts have been a problem.
Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
Solid, stout, rolling straight forward with no brakes, small cranks, and four pegs.
What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?
My pro model frame because of the tall stand over height on it so I can run my seat low and still have it between my legs. Also, the BB makes the frame not dent as easy when you grind and is designed to be out of the way.
Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Yes…A Schwinn Predator Stock 1. I originally won a Schwinn cruiser from a name drawing for the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope For Heart and traded it in for the Predator that same day.
Do you usually replace parts as needed, or do you like to build up a whole new bike from the ground up?
I replace parts. I’m not to picky, but if I build a new frame I always use new bearings and chain.
How have things been since moving from the Midwest to San Diego?
Things have been a lot more fast-paced, and the weather has been beautiful. I definitely miss Tulsa, OK, but I’m experiencing things in the world that I now couldn’t live with out.
Thanks to Sher at Subrosa, Kyle Carlson, William and Rob at Osiris, Chi and my homie Lahsaan at bluntedathletics.com, the whole Trip family, and you for the love and support. -Miles
