“Throughout the ’90s and early ’00s, the NYC Scene was ruled by clothing company Base Brooklyn. At the time, Base (which originally stood for Brooklyn Area Straight Edge), helped introduce the raw brand of NYC street, park and trail riding that was coming out of the city through videos produced by Glenn PP Milligan, and to this day, Base Brooklyn’s “Neighborhood Superheroes” video is still considered one of the best street videos to come out of the NYC scene.
Last weekend, Base Brooklyn marked its return to BMX with a huge jam in Mt. Sinai, N.Y. Tons of old school and new school riders showed up to shred, and a good time was had by all. Check the video for some perspectives on the influence of Base Brooklyn, as well as some riding from the jam.” -Brian Tunney, via ESPN
