You just recently moved out to Long Beach from New York, what brought on that decision?
I just couldn’t sit around all winter without riding. I got tired of just going on trips mid-winter without riding before that and not feeling good on the bike. And I wanted to work on my next video part for the new Cult video.

I know you’ve been to California a few times, but how does it differ now that you actually live out here?
Yeah, I lived out here twice before, so it’s nothing new to me. I’m just psyched to get to meet all these cool people, and to get to ride with my friends. When you’re on a trip out here it’s rough ’cause the weekend is the only time when you can ride a lot of the spots… and when you’re on a trip, sometimes you only get one weekend, and that’s definitely not enough.

What has your day to day been like?
Well, I usually cook some breakfast, go check out the garden, stretch, coffee, hit some people up to see what’s good, then go ride for the day.

How’s your garden coming along?
It’s good. I planted a bunch of lettuce, spinach, bok choy, broccoli, peas, and strawberries, and there all doing good. Pretty soon I can eat from the garden, which is a very rewarding feeling.

You’re close to most of your sponsors now—Cult, Fox, and Demolition are all a short drive away. I’m sure that makes a big difference dealing with them.
Yeah, that’s another reason why I moved out here. It’s good being able to go and talk to them and build a good relationship. I want to do as much as I can for them on and off the bike.

Haven’t you been going on a lot of filming missions with Chris Long and the rest of the Demolition team?
Yeah, for the first few months I was here I was working on my Cult part filming with Navaz, and when he left Cali I started filming with Chris (TM for Demolition). It worked out pretty good ’cause Chris lives up the street from me and it’s easy for us to meet up and then go ride. Plus, there is always riders from Demolition staying at his house so there’s always someone new in town.

Do you think you’ll be staying out here for a while?
Not sure yet, I definitely wanna be on the East Coast in the summer ’cause NY is the best, but I’m loving Cali life.

Any shout outs?
