Recently a handful of the guys on the Colony team were in Socal filming for an upcoming DVD. On a day when it was too hot to ride we decided to do a team bike check with Clint Millar, Mick Bayzand, Cooper Brownlee, Tom Stretton, and Broc Raiford. Five bike checks in one? Today is your lucky day…
Also, keep an eye out for a giveaway/contest in the coming weeks for your chance to win Clint Millar’s bike pictured here!

Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
I have just switched over to a brakeless setup for something different. I still have my front and rear braked bike, but I just wanted to try some new stuff. Tired of doing the same stuff in parks for years, and want to force myself to try new things. See if this old dog can learn some new tricks, hey?
What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?
I really like it all. Our new tires feel awesome though.
Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Yeah, it was a Malvern Star Super Max Cromo! Chrome with blue parts. Stoked.
After years of running front and back brakes, why are you brakeless right now?
I guess I kinda touched on that before, but basically just wanted to refresh myself with riding and make myself learn new stuff. Change is as good as a holiday, they say.
What’s up with the gusset on the frame you are running? Is that something we’ll see on a future Colony frame?
Yeah, it’s just something I wanted to try out. There will be a Zac Miner frame out for 2012, and it will have something along these lines.
How are the new Colony prototype tires holding up for you? How do they compare to other tires you’ve run in the past?
I really like them. I have never designed a tire before, but I feel I have done a good job on these. They roll really fast and wear well too. The grip is awesome as well. I think people will like them, for sure. The guys on the team that are running them like them so far, too.
