I cut my bars down to 27.5″
Which parts do you go through the most?
I tend to go through seats and back tires a lot.
Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
I like my bike to feel super solid, fast, and sturdy enough to know I can take some hard landings without destroying me or my bike.
What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?
If my chain is not tight my bike feels different big time, and I need my bars to be straight all the time. I also need my brakes to be dialed every time I ride.
Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Yeah I remember taking my huffy bike completely apart and rebuilding it with stronger or better parts and riding it ’till the wheels fell off.
Explain where Free Agent is at right now with their BMX program and how you got hooked up with them.
Right now free agent is at the beginning of creating an awesome BMX program starting off with a small team and getting all the products dialed in. Heath Pinter is the team manger and he knew I didn’t have a bike sponsor, so he offered me a spot on the team.
The frame your own is a prototype Free Agent built by S&M… Why did you guys have S&M build the prototypes, and where will the production frames go from this stage?
Well, the production for the frames is still getting done as planned, but we are good friends with Chris Moeller and they build some of the best frames, so him and Heath had a chat and decided on getting a dozen frames done for us to get everything going and I couldn’t be more pumped on how the frames came out.
What’s different or unique about this frame and how did you, Brett Walker, and Heath Pinter (Free Agent crew) come up with what you all wanted in a frame?
This frame has original specs and there’s nothing too fancy about it. We all just wanted a strong, simple, cool-looking frame that we all would want to ride, so we agreed on the design pretty easily and went with 20.8″ and 21″ top tube sizes for the frames.
