After two years of absence the rebeljam is back!
Three years in a row BMX was celebrated on its own way in Berlin, Germany. An event format from riders for riders was established not only to hold a competition – but more to create a gathering for the whole bmx community. The bmx culture offers more aspects than just riding bikes, it furthermore contains edges of music, art, fashion, etc.- that´s what bmx is about! rebeljam is also proud to announce that all the partners from day #1 committed their support also this year. Especially VANS as the title sponsor and Carhartt as the presenter.
The philosophy of rebeljam is to offer a great time and that includes changes / developments on some levels. The main thing what will change is the location. Berlin was the best place to kick off a rebellious idea of a bmx event but now it´s the time that the event needs to travel. After viewing different spots in Europe, the 2010 edition will take place in Portimao, Portugal.
Portimao in south Europe offers a great vibe and perfect conditions for an event format like rebeljam. Nice weather, great venue right on the Algarve coast, laydback people and great nightlife is all you can ask for.
The venue Parque da Juventude, will offer a brand new designed bike park that allows riding for all types of styles. Further there will be fresh shaped dirt jumps for the event. The event format will stay like at the former events. To open up and to honor most of the riding styles, the park and dirt comps will be rewarded in three categories: Hard Trick, Style, Creative
