[Editor's Note: This was supposed to go up about eight hours ago while we were driving, but apparently Wyoming has never heard of 3G and we didn't have cell phone/Internet connection the entire drive from Colorado to Utah. So now it is 1:30am and we are in Utah…finally. Goodnight.]
Day three of the trip is an off day, which means no demos, but that definitely doesn’t mean we aren’t riding. We got in a really good street session in downtown Denver last night, then hit up the Ft. Collins skatepark today before committing to the long drive through Wyoming to Utah for tomorrow’s demo at 50/50 BMX Shop in Layton. Here is what has gone down since the last time we checked in along with 25 photos from the road.
If you’ve been following along on this tour, you know the last time we did an update we were heading from Ft. Morgan, Colorado back to Denver for the night. After we got to the Mile High City the crew sessioned a cemented Jersey barrier next to the hotel before jumping back in the RV and heading downtown for a midnight session. A fun game of BIKE went down at the barrier spot (It was too dark to film it…sorry.), but it was super loose and no one even really won. Once we got to downtown, everyone thought it was going to be a real chill session, but Kelly Bolton, Rob Wise, and Jeremiah Smith all found really good setups that they just couldn’t pass up. Definitely the highlight of the riding session was Rob Wise grinding a “ledge” that was more like a wall out over some stairs on a really weird angle. You’ll have to wait for the video clip of that one though… Just know it was about shoulder height and absolutely insane.
After the riding simmered down and everyone was ready to call it a night we cruised the RV around the city a few times yelling at people out of the window and pulling random chicks from in front of bars to hop in the bus for shits and giggles. As we were heading back to the hotel though, the most epic thing happened… A dude was running along the side the bus, chasing us because Alfredo Mancuso yelled some wild obscenities at him with a megaphone. As he’s running, he’s looking at us in the window and not paying attention to what was in front of him. It was like a scene from a movie I’ve seen too many times, so I yelled at him not to hit any poles, and right then he creamed a metal newspaper box and completely ate shit. Everyone on the bus was dying laughing. Best moment on the trip, by far…
In the morning, after a quick stop at Subway, we drove an hour our so outside of Denver to Ft. Collins where we stopped for a cement skatepark session. The place had really weird trannies, and lots of interesting setups. Hucker and Kelly Bolton sessioned a wedge flyout to grass bank landing, and Chris Doyle and Craig Mast were both killing a good hip. Jeremiah Smith ended the session with an awesome line: 360 no-hander down a step down into a mini ramp, footjam on a double sub box on the other side of the mini, then a 180 whip back up and over the step up back out of the mini. Good shits. There were a handful of really cool locals there, too. Always a pleasure to meet riders from different areas…
Check the site tomorrow to see how the demo at 50/50 BMX Shop went. Over and out.

This one needs some explaining… Hucker did a bar ride surfer all the way across the park and was trying to ride up the rail and jump off onto Rob Wise's bike. Never worked out, but made for some really funny crashes. The local skaters were pumped, for sure. They had no clue what the hell to make of this situation.
